6th Grade Math Extra Credit Assignment


Find at least 10 graphs and/or tables using newspapers, magazines, and/or the Internet (must be in context). Cut out the graphs and tables, and neatly glue them to a piece of paper. make sure you include the source (where you found the table or graph) for each. Write a paragraph about why graphs and tables are used and why they are helpful.


Due before Spetember 30th.

Have you ever asked, "When are we going to use math?" Research it. Use resources in the library or the Internet to explore jobs that require knowledge of mathematics. Write a few paragraphs on how people use math in their careers and real life.
